ViaCommunity Day 2010 (56 photos), by Aubrey Thomason

Friday was our annual ViaCommunity Day (community service day for my company). This year I participated in a teachers' lounge makeover at Castelar Elementary School in Chinatown. It was a very busy and tiring day, but so worth it. Take a look at the pictures below. I think you'll be amazed by the transformation. This space is mainly for the faculty, but is also used by Kindergarteners and 1st Graders for after school care. So we had to make it multifunctional. I painted the 2 canvases with the sunset and designed the overall layout. I also did the majority of the shopping, including the great chair covers and tablecloths. The photo artwork on the walls are collages of pictures that some of the team members took with my camera that day. They got some really awesome shots of the kids, the school and the surrounding Chinatown landscape. They really were magnificent. I was proud to be a part of it.

I'd like to share my Snapfish photos with you. Once you have checked out my photos you can order prints and upload your own photos to share.
